The Edgerton Explorit Center exists to instill and nurture in all people the joy of scientific discovery and exploration through hands-on learning experiences. Located in Dr. Harold Edgerton's home town, the Edgerton Explorit Center inspires kids age 2 to 92 through exciting activities and state-of-the-art programming.

The Edgerton Explorit Center programs bring an average of 15,000 visitors to the central Nebraska area and we travel nearly 12,000 miles per year in the state as we strive to uphold the hands-on learning legacy of Harold "Doc" Edgerton. We serve over 60,000 Nebraska students from all 93 counties with our Edgerton On The Move Program in which we take our exhibits and programming on the road to reach more students.

The Edgerton Explorit Center is home to many exciting features. The hands-on museum is divided into many different areas.

Our most famous area at the center is the "Explorit Zone!" Made up of nearly 35 exciting hands-on exhibits, you will find it hard to convince yourself to leave.
