North Dakota Heritage Center
Bismarck, ND
Our exhibits focus on North Dakota. No other large museums produce exhibits covering the entire broad, rich and deep history of the state.
The State Historical Society has developed a comprehensive temporary exhibits program that enhances the stories presented in the permanent exhibits. The Museum and Education Division researches, writes, and builds exhibits for use in the North Dakota Heritage Center (the Society's headquarters), at nine branch museums, at the Capitol and other state facilities, and for loan to other institutions, ranging from libraries and county courthouses to local and regional museums.
