John James Audubon Center at Mill Grove
Audubon, PA

Between 1803 and 1806 Mill Grove (listed on the National Register of Historic Places) was the first American home of renowned artist and naturalist John James Audubon. Today, 175 acres of Mill Grove’s original estate remains largely as John found it a haven for birds and wildlife. An educational center of the National Audubon Society, Mill Grove boasts more than nine miles of trails, and the historic three-story stone farmhouse exhibits one of the nation’s largest collections of Audubon art.
