Amory Regional Museum
Amory, MS
A visit to the Amory Regional Museum is a trip down memory lane. Here, you'll be taken to the very roots of Amory ... learning about our railroad heritage and how it affected the growth and development of our town in so many, many ways. It is here where you'll hear the stories about the individuals who have had such an impact on the commercial, cultural and religious aspects of Amory.
In 1977, the museum acquired the passenger coach, Frisco's "Pasadena Hills" No. 1251, which has been permanently attached to the building. This passenger coach houses a part of Amory's heritage in its railroad memorabilia.
The Pasadena Hills No. 1251 even includes a vintage telegraph setup ... typical of those used in railroad service until the mid part of the 20th century.
