The Highlands Museum & Discovery Center is a highly interactive regional heritage museum with a wide variety of exhibits to delight all age groups. Discover the answer to the question, "how did and do people live and work along the
Ohio River?" From early Native Americans to the birth of an industrial era, learn about the region's contributions to the medical, military and industrial fields.
The memorabilia and biographies of country music greats are showcased in the County Music Heritage Hall along with a Karaoke Corner and Music Quilt, an interactive sound sculpture where everyone can be a musician.
The Discovery Center boasts a Toddler Terminal and pre-school play space along with The Front Porch, a favorite pastimes exhibit; Poage's Landing streetscape with an actual towboat; a one-room schoolhouse and an aviation exhibit always ready for test pilots. Fully accessible and family friendly for all ages.
