The Discovery Museum of Sacramento is a family-focused educational institution dedicated to enriching the lives of local residents and visitors to the Sacramento region by encouraging the exploration of history, science and space.

The Discovery Museum Science & Space Center rotates themed exhibits throughout the year. Exhibits include Bone Zone, Got Trees?, Gee Whiz Geology and Space Quest! They generally run about six months at a time. Each exhibit is full of interactive science experiences for children of all ages and has related search and find guides based on State science standards. Our Nature Discovery Room brings the children face-to-face with our live animals and insects.

With seating for sixty, our 20-minutes planetarium show offers an intimate look at the local night sky. Shows change with the season, but each is tailored for the current audience.
